Would you consider your character to be heroic? Why or why not?:

"I am sick of watching people die and I can't just sit back and take it anymore. I won't let anyone else get killed, not when I can protect them."

Yes! Alphonse is absolutely a hero at heart. His main concern is always others, both on the physical and psychological level, and he doesn't think twice before jumping into a fight to protect anyone. In fact, something that propelled him into more studies and traveling later in canon, once he has his body back, is the fact that he couldn't save Nina from being transmuted into a chimera. He states that his intention is to become more and more knowledgeable in order to help those who are suffering due to alchemy, much like she did.

He's a kind-hearted boy, who does everything in his power to help others, even at the expense of himself.
